Universal LED Logic
While every manufacturer has specific blink sequences, almost all modern projectors adhere to a universal colour-coding logic for their status lights.
Green or Blue
- Solid: The projector is powered on and operating normally.
- Flashing: The projector is in a transitional state (Warming up the lamp or Cooling down the chassis before standby). Do not unplug during this phase.
Orange or Amber
- Solid: The unit is in Standby mode, ready to be turned on.
- Flashing: Usually indicates a Non-Critical Warning. The most common is a "Filter Timer Warning" or that the lamp is nearing the end of its life, but the unit will still operate.
Red (Solid or Flashing)
- Flashing Temp: Critical overheat or fan failure. Immediate shutdown initiated.
- Flashing Lamp: Ballast or bulb failure. Cannot strike the light source.
- All Flashing: Catastrophic mainboard or system interlock failure.
