Common Eiki Faults & Fixes
Eiki projectors are renowned for their durability in A/V staging and education. However, the high-lumen output of these installation models creates intense thermal and UV stress over thousands of operating hours.
Polariser Burn
Prevalent in the older LC-WUL and LC-XNB series. UV radiation from the lamp burns the organic blue polariser film, resulting in a persistent yellow or pink tint. We replace these filters to restore perfect white balance.
Auto-Roll Filter Faults
Many high-end Eiki units feature an automatic rolling filter cartridge. When the filter material runs out or the motor jams, the unit throws an error and refuses to start. We replace cartridges and repair the winding mechanism.
Ballast Ignition Failure
If you hear repetitive clicking but the lamp doesn't strike (followed by a red "Replace Lamp" LED), the high-voltage ballast has likely blown. We rebuild the ignition coils and MOSFETs using precision micro-soldering.
Dust Blobs (LCD)
Despite advanced filters, microscopic dust eventually settles on the internal LCD panels. Because these are at the focal point, they project as large, fuzzy green or pink circles. We perform deep ultrasonic optical cleaning.
Service Discontinuation Notice: As projectors age, manufacturer-supplied boards become obsolete. We are one of the few independent laboratories in Europe equipped to perform component-level micro-soldering, ensuring your legacy Eiki infrastructure remains operational without forcing a venue-wide upgrade.
Eiki Error Code Database
Eiki projectors utilise a combination of WARNING, REPLACE FILTER, and REPLACE LAMP LEDs to communicate hardware faults.
| LED Indicator State | Indicated Fault | Engineer's Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
|
Warning: Flashing Red
|
Abnormal Temperature | The projector has detected unsafe internal temperatures. It shuts down to protect the LCD panels. If vents are clear, an internal fan bearing has failed or the thermal sensor is faulty. |
|
Warning: Solid Red
|
Cover Interlock Error | The lamp cover or filter cover is not securely attached, preventing the safety microswitch from engaging. If covers are tight, the microswitch circuit has failed. |
|
Replace Filter: Solid
|
Filter Roll Empty | On models with Auto-Roll filters, the cartridge has reached the end of the roll. The projector will eventually lock out to prevent optical damage. Replace cartridge. |
|
Replace Lamp: Solid
|
Lamp / Ballast Failure | The projector cannot strike the lamp arc. First, ensure the bulb isn't blown. If a new lamp fails to strike, the high-voltage ballast board requires board-level repair. |
| Completely Dead | Main Power Supply (PSU) | No standby lights whatsoever when plugged in. A power surge has likely blown the internal ceramic fuse or primary bridge rectifier. We perform component-level soldering to revive the board. |

Free Projector Recycling
Is your legacy Eiki projector beyond economical repair? Don't send it to landfill. We offer a completely free, eco-friendly recycling service. We safely extract hazardous mercury from old UHP lamps and ensure zero-to-landfill processing for plastics and metals.
Recycle NowDon't Throw It Away.
A dead power supply or yellow image does not mean your Eiki is dead. A professional component replacement or optical rebuild preserves your venue's capabilities for a fraction of the cost of a new high-end unit.
